Sample Font

Click the link below to download a sample font. With this font you can see how you will install and how you will use a signature font.

There are three files below. One is stored as a self extracting executable (for use on Microsoft operating systems). To use it, save it to your disk drive, and then run it (it is called sample.exe). The second file is a zip file. To use it download it and then unzip it. The final file is the actual font. To use it, download it to your hard drive by right clicking on it and choosing "Save target as".

If you download the executable or zip file you will end up with two files on your hard drive in the directory where you performed the operations above. One is the font 'sample.ttf', and the other is instructions on installing and using the font 'sample.txt' (these instructions are also shown below in case you just download the font file).

Sample Font (size 41K - Self extracting executable for PC)
Sample Font (size 25K - Zip file)
Sample.ttf (size 38K - TrueType font file)

Here are additional samples of a few historical figures:

GWashington.ttf
JFK.ttf
AbeLincoln.ttf
JohnAdams.ttf

To Use You New Font:

  1. In the program you wish to utilize the sample, simply select the sample signature font named "Signature-Sample" - just as you would select any other font such as Arial, or Times New Roman.
  2. Press the uppercase letter 'S' (capital S). The sample font also has signatures for upper case letters 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' and lower case letter 's'. Letter 'S' and 's' have the same signatures except 'S' was signed with a felt tip marker and 's' was signed with a ball point pen.
  3. Remember you can change the size of your signature by simply changing the font size, just as you would do for any other font. Try starting out with a point size of around 28.
